The United Nations on Wednesday designated Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar a global terrorist, India's Ambassador to the UN Syed Akbaruddin said.
China was blocking listing of Azhar, whose outfit has been responsible for a number of terror attacks in India, including the recent one in Pulwama in which 40 security personnel were killed by a suicide car bomber on February 14, despite a strong push by other permanent members of the UNSC like the US, UK and France.
Addressing a huge crowd, in Gosaiganj, 35 kms from the city of Ayodhya, PM lashed out at the Congress and the SP-BSP alliance in UP. He said, " Be it SP, BSP or Congress, it is necessary to know their reality. Behen ji used the name of Babasaheb Ambedkar but she did everything which is just the opposite of his principles. SP used the name of Lohia ji but they destroyed the law and order situation in UP."
While people are wondering what could be the reason that the PM is not visiting the makeshift Ram Temple, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, head of the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas said those who want to visit may visit, those who do not want to visit may do as they please.
BJP has been facing allegations of politicising the issue of Ram Temple. Ayodhya MP lallu Singh said in the defense of the PM that “PM Modi is doing the work that lord Ram has done. He worked for the poor of the country. He working for Lord Ram, he may pay a visit whenever he wants to.”
Ayodhya falls under Uttar Pradesh's Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency, which goes to polls in the fifth phase on May 6.
